Why I became a Doula…

I become a doula because I see where the modern world and modern medicine has failed mothers and families. Birth is being treated as a business instead of the sacred rite of passage it truly is. I desire to help preserve and reintroduce traditional and ancestral practices around birth and postpartum care.

I am passionate about helping mothers and birthing families make informed and evidence based decisions about their birthing options both in and out of the hospital setting. When families are more informed it helps decrease maternal mortality and morbidity rates.

An informed family is an empowered family. I want each family I work with to be confident going into the birth setting and feel supported as they move into parenthood.
